Who are we?
We are a small family operated firm out of San Diego, California with wide range of experience in firearms, parachute rigging and skydiving.

How did I start making gear?
At first I started out by modifying old surplus gear with mole straps, a D ring here or there and other things to make it more comfortable to use. This helped me tremendously improve my sewing skills. So then I began trying to re-imagine retro gear, thus came my very first product in the shape of the MR1 Rig, Modernized Rhodesian Rig, in M81 woodland. This was an interesting project and I still enjoy making these rigs. But when I came across a bunch of surplus East German fabric, I knew what I wanted to make.
The MS, Modernized Sandinista, series of rigs was a thought I have played around with before. But I never really had the skills nor the patience to bring these thoughts to reality. But when I practiced enough on the MR1 rigs I decided to go for it. From about 4 months of prototyping came about the MS1 and the MS2 rigs, with the MS2 being my favorite. And still, 2 years later I take that very first final variant out on backwoods hikes.

What are you designing the Micro Placard for?
The idea for the micro started to form after my realization that I had way too much equipment to use. The idea behind the micro is to form a sort of non-proprietary ecosystem which would allow to have only one or two of these placards to be used for all the tactical and civilian needs. Hopefully you stick around for the development process because this is only the beginning to my biggest project yet.
